HEIDERSBERGER 4.2 - KRAFTWERK 50
Heinrich Heidersberger photographed the subject “Power Plant of Volkswagen AG” in 1971. It is now considered a key work of his oeuvre and a symbol of the cultural identity of the city of Wolfsburg.
In 2021, the photograph turned 50 years old. We gave voice to contemporary witnesses and protagonists, and explored how the image is received and contextualized today.

THE RYTHMOGRAPH
The sculptural character of the Rhythmograph and its largely restored functionality contribute to an understanding of Heinrich Heidersberger's unique, abstract photographic works. The Rhytmograph stands on its own due to its spatial dimension, and with an understanding of its function, the Rhythmograms open up another level of understanding of the universal Heinrich Heidersberger for the viewer.
