Info: Benjamin Heidersberger, born in Braunschweig in 1957, studied physics, biology, and computer science at the Technical University of Braunschweig, but without receiving a degree. At the same time through 1984, he was part of the Wolfsburg-based interdisciplinary artist group Head Resonance Company, which was active in the fields of architecture and music as well as performance and installation. In 1989, he co-founded Ponton-Lab GmbH, an artist group that realized interactive media and TV projects under the name Van Gogh TV at documenta 8 and Documenta IX, in Japan in 1993, and on numerous occasions at Ars Electronica. From 1993 to ’94, Heidersberger taught electronic media design at the Merz Academy in Stuttgart. With the support of the city of Wolfsburg, he founded the Heidersberger gGmbH institute in his father’s former studio in 2002.

Info: Bernd Rodrian, born in 1966, completed an apprenticeship as a photographer and then studied image engineering at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences, specializing in photographic conservation and restoration. From 1995 to ’96, he spent a year studying abroad at the Ecole nationale supérieure Louis-Lumière, Noisy-le-Grand/Paris, in the film and photography departments. Since 2002, he has been director of the Heidersberger Institute in Wolfsburg, which oversees, researches, and works with Heinrich Heidersberger’s photographic estate. Rodrian also works as an independent photographer. In 2000 and 2001, he was awarded the Willi Luther Prize for Photography from Volkswagen AG. From 2011 to ’16, Rodrian was head of the imagery division of the German Society for Photography (DGPh), and in 2013/14 he was a lecturer at the University of Hildesheim.

Info: Bettina Lüder, born in 1957, is a state-certified business administrator and accountant. Since 2004 she has been in charge of accounting at the Heidersberger Institute.
